What can I say but I think I have another favorite series by an amazing author. There has not been anything by Jennifer Armentrout that I have not loved!!!
Plus I have always had a great love for good and bad. As we learn more about Layla, she is half demon/half Warden. She is both good and bad but has been living mostly good. The Wardens took er in when she was just a child. As she learned to live like Warden, there was always the darkside that called to her. She has been able to keep it inside until she meets a dark handsome stranger that seems to call to her darkside. She feels something that has been missing in her life. Will she turn her back on the Wardens for a walk on the darkside?
Roth is one hell of a sexy demon. He enjoys his time topside but has a job to do. But he must get Layla to help him with his plan. Along the way, he learns that even though he a demon, there is still alittle part of good inside of him.
Then there is Zayne. Warden god who Layla grew up with as an older protective brother. But no one should have thoughts like she does about their brother right. Zayne is the one person Layla trust beyond anything but when Roth appears and things start to shift, Layla starts to keep secrets. But if they are to protect the others, are they really that bad to keep?
As we watch Layla come into her true self, will she be able to continue living with the Wardens' knowing the truth or will the truth set her free to be who she should all along?
An amazing start to this series. I have already dived into book 2. Looking forward to seeing how Layla's relationship with Zayne and Roth plays out.
