I received this novel from Netgalley in exchange for an
honest review. If you like a quick read that will keep you on your toes, then
this book is for you. Piper Lawson's character development was amazing in this
novel. I enjoyed getting to know Max and
Payton, and every chapter it seemed something new was revealed about the main
characters. The plotline moved at a great pace, there weren't any slow parts
that seemed to drag on and on. Payton
was smart, sassy and mature with a great head on her shoulders. I love books with strong female characters
and Lawson hit it out of the park with Payton.
Max seems an arrogant, rude man but as the story progresses you realize
he is like an onion...you have to peel the layers to find the real man
underneath. I really enjoyed this novel
and recommend it to anyone who loves new adult, contemporary romance and HEA.
