No Tan Lines is book 1 in the Barefoot William series. I absolutely loved it....funny....sexy.....beachy.....suntan....light-hearted.....love at its best. This is a great summer beach read or even a winter read to bring some sun and fun to your day. I connected with the characters. The supporting characters were amazing too, letting us get a glimpse of the future books. I am a huge fan of Author Kate Angell. I loved all the books in this series. 

There has been a line drawn between the Cates & Saunders for a hundred years. Each family knows that they do not cross the line that separates the two towns; even though they share the same beach. But sometimes, love knows no lines.

Shaye Cates is the center of her family business. Taking over for her father and grandfather. Her family owns Barefoot William side of the beach, where family means everything. The boardwalk is filled with Cates' family stores. Each a different reflection of the Cates family charm and character. This side is where a family can come have fun. Whether its riding the bumper cars or eating ice cream and corndogs. Shaye loves the beach. She is a free spirit who thrives on the salt life.

Trace Saunders manages Saunders Shores with its high end boutiques, fancy 5 star restaurants and top notch hotel. Trace knows how to run a business and make a profit. He has the education and skills to turn anything into a profit. He is a business man. He knows how to get what he wants. He gets things done.

When Shaye must turn to Trace for help in a volleyball tournament, more than volleyballs will get spiked. They must work together to make the event a success. But both refuse to reveal the whole truth about the event and things that each have done to make it a success. Shaye and Trace both have cards up their sleeves to out best the other. 

As the tourney approaches the secrets Shaye and Trace had are revealed. What should have been a fight will turn the two of them from enemies to lovers. But this can only happen once. The pull between the two of them has been there since they were young kids. Once they give into, there will be no turning away from it. 

Will Shaye and Trace be able to mend the feud between the two families or will they be just a couple caught in the middle of two families unwilling to let go of the past?

Andrew Hall was left at the alter yet he still thinks about Allie daily. He still does not know what caused her to bolt on their wedding day. He knows he should move on but his heart is just not into letting her go just yet.

When Allie becomes the maid of honor to Andrew's sister, they are throw back together during all the wedding festivities. Will the feelings that they still have for each other, heal them or will the hurt be too much to forgive and more on? 

This was a sweet short story about learning to live your own life no matter the past mistakes of your family. To always believe in true love and that all things can be conquered together.

This was such a sweet old fashion story of courtship, learning to keep an open mind and an open heart and learning to love again. It will have you enjoying the notes between the characters as they become familiar with the idea of each other. I love the characters and how they formed a relationship without meeting. And Ginny was a hoot. She was just the added character to bring the funnies to the story.

Madeleine Houser a successful author is having a time getting in the writing mode while her house is being renovated. The saying that you can write anywhere has completely skipped over her. She must find a way to complete her lastest novel. When her neighbor suggested the local Inn, Madeleine is unsure about it. But once she is there, she feels this calm cover over her and the words begin to flow.

Arthur, a professor at the local college is more than willing to allow Madeleine to come to the Inn and write. If she is a good friend of Ginny, then she can not be that bad. Plus it will bring some life into the Inn. Since it has mostly been just him and a few guests on the weekend. 

As Madeleine and Arthur form a friendship of sorts by leaving notes to each other after Madeleine has been there for the day. They both come to look forward to them. When they finally meet, they are both attracted to each other but have different ideas of what each other would be like, giving them both a good laugh. 

As Madeleine's renovations are coming to an end so will her writing days at the Inn. She is not liking the way she feels about this. Arthur looks forward to having her there daily so when he realizes that Madeleine will not be there, he must look to his heart with a little help from Ginny to figure out what he should do.

This was my first book by Author CL Parker. I loved her way of writing. I love the characters. I love the story. I loved the other characters that were introduced too. I can not wait to read more in this series and other books by Author CL Parker.

When they are put to the test and let the best agent win, they are both willing to do what is needed to win. Shaw and Cassidy have a love hate relationship but when things heat up, it becomes more love than hate. Or maybe it is really hot hate sex. Will the best man or woman get the partnership? Let the games begin.

Let me start by saying that I was unable to connect with the writing style of the author or the characters. I feel that she was little to young acting for the actions that were being played out. And his way with words were just too much for me to connect with. 

The story is set in the 50's which I did like. As most stories with step issues are in present day. LuAnn has secretly be crushing on her stepbrother since their parents married. While she is at college, she gets into a bit of trouble. Of course, Brad, would be the one to come pick her up. 

Brad does what any good brother does and punishes his stepsister for getting into trouble at school. He plans to show LuAnn that actions have consequences. And he plans to enjoy each and every one of them.

This book will put a smile on your face. It was sweet, cute, fun and had me smiling the whole time I was reading it. I loved the characters, the story flowed perfectly and the background made me want to pack up to find my own historical house to spend the holidays in with snow, lights and gingerbread men. 

Seth has been secretly crushing on Layla for a few years. But a misunderstanding has put them against each other. When they are put in a situation, Seth does the only thing he can, announces they are engaged. Layla is floored. She is not engaged to this man. She thinks he has lost his mind. But when a chance of a lifetime appears once the news is shared, Layla decides she might need a favor from Seth.

As their pretend engagement continues, they will have to learn to work together. Can the attraction between the two of them flutter to the surface? Or will it be snowed under like the white Christmas?

The underlying message was beautiful but I was just unable to connect with the characters or the writing style of the author.

Scout and Tess have been best friends forever. Of course there has always been an attraction between the two of them and they have shared everything with each other. Or have they? I am a big fan of both authors, Shayla Black and Lexi Blake. This series shows what talent these ladies have. The first in The Perfect Gentlemen series is just the beginning of the lives of a small group of friends. They each have their own secrets but they know that no matter what, they will always be there for each other. A tragic event cause the group to scramble to come to terms of what has happened. As each friend must deal with the loss of one of their own, there are too many questions around the death of Maddox Crawford. It appears there is more to his death than just what they have been told. The friends will have to work together to figure out the clues that Mad has left. Will they be able to uncover the truth behind the loss of their friend? Or will secrets go down like Mad? Everly Parker, Mad executive assistant is reeling from the loss of her boss and mentor. What will she do now? She needs just 1 night to forget and be someone else. She has never done anything like meet a stranger in a bar and having a one night stand. But when she sees this God like man and feel the electric pull towards him, she will give in, if only for 1 night. Gabe Bond, having just lost one of his best friends, has to clean up the mess that Mad has left. Mad was always the one having a good time, but Gabe determined to forget the day he has to say good bye to his friend, besides he would do what Mad would, find a woman and lose himself in her. The mystery, clues and turn of events will have you second guessing who could be the killer? But the love that grows between Gabe and Eve is unmistakably beautiful. I can not wait to see what else will happen to these two. Plus the other Gentlemen. A great start to this series!!!

Review of Seduction In Session by Authors Shayla Black & Lexi Blake

This was a book that I won from a Goodreads contest and excited too since Shayla Black & Lexi Blake are a few of my favorite authors. Needless to say they did not disappoint. Looking forwarded to more in The Perfect Gentlemen series. 

This is the second book in this series, although you do not have to read book 1 before hand this book will flow and allow you to know the key players. (Although I did purchase and devour book 1 after finishing this one) Connor Sparks has not had an easy life but when he is befriended by a group of guys, he finally feels at home. He would do anything for them. When there is a threat to one of their own, Connor is the first to step up to find and get rid of the threat. But he is not completely ready for this threat.

Enter Lara. She needs a body guard. She knows her work can be dangerous but the truth must be told at all cost.  When Connor is hired as her bodyguard, he is pulled at trying to keep her safe along with his heart, something that he thought he never had for anyone other that his close group of friends. But there is more to lose than just the threats that have been given to Lara. Connor will have to choose who to protect. The Perfect Gentlemen or Lara. 

There are lots of twist and turns, several steamy scenes and still secrets to uncover. The writing flows perfectly, before you know it, you are on the last page wanting more. I am patiently waiting for the release of book 3.
