After
reading the prequel Cupcakes & Ink, I could not wait to dive into this
book. The story of Hayden and Tenley was
just so powerful. As we get to see more
into what is holding each of them back from accepting that the need for each
other is more than just physical attraction.
But that they need each other like their next breathe.
Hayden and
Tenley both have secrets that they are keeping from each other. But when the past comes knocking on their
doors, they will both have to accept that the past has made them who they are. They can’t change this. They can only learn to go forward. Once it is all laid out, will the truth of
their true feeling for each other be enough to bring them together will it tear
them apart forever?
The book
ends on a cliffy so be ready to read more in Book 2, Inked Armour. I look forward to see what Helena has in
store for us in the next book plus additional stories about the other
characters in the book who have played such an important role in shaping the
story.
