Coming Clean-CL Parker

This book was provided by NetGalley for an honest opinion.

4 Stars

As book 3 wrapped up Cassidy and Shaw's enemy turn love relationship into a new adventure.  They are a family now.  It is not just about them two.  Nope, they have a little baby to think about now.  As Shaw continues to work and put in more and more hours, Cassidy starts to feel like she is parenting alone.  She decided to stay home to be with the baby but holds alittle resentment toward Shaw.  She misses her adult life but loves her baby.

Shaw and Cassidy seems to be growing apart and the baby grows older.  What is there left to do?  Shaw is constantly out with a client, while Cassidy is home tending to their son.  As he gets bigger, he worships his father, even though he is not around alot.  Cassidy feels like she must do something not only for her but for their son.

Shaw thinks he is doing what is best for his family.  He is providing for them; a house to live in, food to eat and money to buy whatever they want.  But sometimes having all the material things means nothing when they really only need you.

Cassidy and Shaw are headed to counseling with Shaw arguing about it all the time.  He does not understand what someone will do to help them.  But if it means keeping Cassidy from leaving he is willing to do anything.  As counsel takes a turn toward sexy time, Cassidy and Shaw both realize that they have been missing each other more than they thought.  They have been missing the intimate times that connect them first as lovers then partners.

Things seems to be heading in the right direction.  Cassidy feels better about herself and their relationship.  Shaw learns that he needs to spend quality time with his family.  As there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel, work throws a curve ball into the mix.  How will Shaw manage with his boss leaving?  Is he going to have to put in more hours?  And who will the new partner be?  Will he like the dude?  Oh Shaw is in for a major surprise.  But I thought the ending was just perfect for the relationship that started out in book 1.

Looking forward to reading more from Author CL Parker.
