This was my first book by Author CL Parker. I loved her way of writing. I love the characters. I love the story. I loved the other characters that were introduced too. I can not wait to read more in this series and other books by Author CL Parker.

When they are put to the test and let the best agent win, they are both willing to do what is needed to win. Shaw and Cassidy have a love hate relationship but when things heat up, it becomes more love than hate. Or maybe it is really hot hate sex. Will the best man or woman get the partnership? Let the games begin.

Let me start by saying that I was unable to connect with the writing style of the author or the characters. I feel that she was little to young acting for the actions that were being played out. And his way with words were just too much for me to connect with. 

The story is set in the 50's which I did like. As most stories with step issues are in present day. LuAnn has secretly be crushing on her stepbrother since their parents married. While she is at college, she gets into a bit of trouble. Of course, Brad, would be the one to come pick her up. 

Brad does what any good brother does and punishes his stepsister for getting into trouble at school. He plans to show LuAnn that actions have consequences. And he plans to enjoy each and every one of them.

This book will put a smile on your face. It was sweet, cute, fun and had me smiling the whole time I was reading it. I loved the characters, the story flowed perfectly and the background made me want to pack up to find my own historical house to spend the holidays in with snow, lights and gingerbread men. 

Seth has been secretly crushing on Layla for a few years. But a misunderstanding has put them against each other. When they are put in a situation, Seth does the only thing he can, announces they are engaged. Layla is floored. She is not engaged to this man. She thinks he has lost his mind. But when a chance of a lifetime appears once the news is shared, Layla decides she might need a favor from Seth.

As their pretend engagement continues, they will have to learn to work together. Can the attraction between the two of them flutter to the surface? Or will it be snowed under like the white Christmas?

The underlying message was beautiful but I was just unable to connect with the characters or the writing style of the author.

Scout and Tess have been best friends forever. Of course there has always been an attraction between the two of them and they have shared everything with each other. Or have they? Tess has a secret that she carries with her everyday. Once it is revealed will Scout feel differently about Tess? Will it ruin their friendship?

Scout would do anything for Tess. He loves her but they seem to always be with other people when the other person is single. Tess loves Scout with all her heart. She wants him but is afraid to give in. Giving in means trusting him with her secret. Can she do that? Will she take the chance of losing him forever when it is revealed?

I am a big fan of both authors, Shayla Black and Lexi Blake. This series shows what talent these ladies have. The first in The Perfect Gentlemen series is just the beginning of the lives of a small group of friends. They each have their own secrets but they know that no matter what, they will always be there for each other. A tragic event cause the group to scramble to come to terms of what has happened. As each friend must deal with the loss of one of their own, there are too many questions around the death of Maddox Crawford. It appears there is more to his death than just what they have been told. The friends will have to work together to figure out the clues that Mad has left. Will they be able to uncover the truth behind the loss of their friend? Or will secrets go down like Mad? Everly Parker, Mad executive assistant is reeling from the loss of her boss and mentor. What will she do now? She needs just 1 night to forget and be someone else. She has never done anything like meet a stranger in a bar and having a one night stand. But when she sees this God like man and feel the electric pull towards him, she will give in, if only for 1 night. Gabe Bond, having just lost one of his best friends, has to clean up the mess that Mad has left. Mad was always the one having a good time, but Gabe determined to forget the day he has to say good bye to his friend, besides he would do what Mad would, find a woman and lose himself in her. When Gabe and Eve realize he is her new boss, they will have to put their attraction to each other on the back burner to find the true killer before another of the Gentlemen or Eve ends up dead. The mystery, clues and turn of events will have you second guessing who could be the killer? But the love that grows between Gabe and Eve is unmistakably beautiful. I can not wait to see what else will happen to these two. Plus the other Gentlemen. A great start to this series!!!

Review of Seduction In Session by Authors Shayla Black & Lexi Blake

This was a book that I won from a Goodreads contest and excited too since Shayla Black & Lexi Blake are a few of my favorite authors. Needless to say they did not disappoint. Looking forwarded to more in The Perfect Gentlemen series. 

This is the second book in this series, although you do not have to read book 1 before hand this book will flow and allow you to know the key players. (Although I did purchase and devour book 1 after finishing this one) Connor Sparks has not had an easy life but when he is befriended by a group of guys, he finally feels at home. He would do anything for them. When there is a threat to one of their own, Connor is the first to step up to find and get rid of the threat. But he is not completely ready for this threat.

Enter Lara. She needs a body guard. She knows her work can be dangerous but the truth must be told at all cost.  When Connor is hired as her bodyguard, he is pulled at trying to keep her safe along with his heart, something that he thought he never had for anyone other that his close group of friends. But there is more to lose than just the threats that have been given to Lara. Connor will have to choose who to protect. The Perfect Gentlemen or Lara. 

There are lots of twist and turns, several steamy scenes and still secrets to uncover. The writing flows perfectly, before you know it, you are on the last page wanting more. I am patiently waiting for the release of book 3.

Review by Stacy Eastwood....The Girl from Summer Hill by Author Jude Deveraux

 I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.  When I saw that Jude Deveraux was writing a book that plays on the classic literary work Pride and Prejudice, I was really concerned. Jude Deveraux has always been my all-time favorite author but I feel too many people have used this classic tale as a jumping off point of their own stories.  I should have had faith in Deveraux’s writing ability, because she didn’t disappoint me.  Once again I was thoroughly engaged with a Deveraux novel and connected with the characters quickly.  I love the chemistry between Casey and Tate as well as the personalities of all the supporting characters.  Deveraux took a classic novel idea but turned it into something that is truly her own author voice.  I recommend this novel for anyone who loves contemporary romance, new adult romance or just a fun quirky read.  It will keep you engaged and leave you wanting more.
