The underlying message was beautiful but I was just unable to connect with the characters or the writing style of the author.
Scout and Tess have been best friends forever. Of course there has always been an attraction between the two of them and they have shared everything with each other. Or have they? Tess has a secret that she carries with her everyday. Once it is revealed will Scout feel differently about Tess? Will it ruin their friendship?
Scout would do anything for Tess. He loves her but they seem to always be with other people when the other person is single. He plans to wait his time out for her but when she decides to marry someone else it is now or never. Scout can not lose his chance to show Tess how much she means to him and always has.
Tess loves Scout with all her heart. She wants him but is afraid to give in. Giving in means trusting him with her secret. Can she do that? Will she take the chance of losing him forever when it is revealed?
