What can I say but this book had me up late and not wanting to do much of anything except read those Dirty Letters.
It all began as pen pals between 2 young kids, Luca and Griffin. They were best friends even without having meet each other. They lived on different sides of the world. So when the letters stopped coming, trust is broken along with friendship and hearts.
But when a letter arrives for Luca years later, surprised and excited to see that handwriting after so long. Although the words inside are not what she was expecting. So Luca does what anyone would do, writes back to try to explain and so the pen pal letters begin again but in a much more adult way. The dirty letters begin to be the highlight of Luca and Griffin's days. They reconnect like no time as past. Even without seeing each other or speaking, the connect is still there.
So much has changed over the years although Griffin and Luca leave out certain aspects of their lives, soon the future will meet the past. What happens will have you on a road trip you never saw coming.
Luca and Griffin's characters were so likeable I think from reading the letters, it was as if you knew their deepest darkest secrets. This book had me laughing, cheering for love and crying for all the that was lost.
