A Need So Insatiable (Book 1, Hearts Series) by Author Cecelia Robert

A copy of this book was provided via NetGalley for an honest review.

2 stars

DNF  I made it half way through and had to stop.   There was just so much going on, it was hard to keep up with.  It felt like there were several stories going on with this one.  I think had the author taken all these stories and concentrated on just one story and feelers for the other stories, it would have been a great book.  I enjoyed the blurb and could not wait to dive into this book.  I am sure I will grab another book by the author just to see if it was just this book that was not my cup of tea.

The One (Book 1, The Only One Series) by Author Belle Ami

1 Star
DNF
I usually am able to continue reading a book even when I do not enjoy it.  But this was not the case.  I just could not get into the story.  It jumped all over the place.  There seems to be no rhyme or rhythm to the story.  The blurb to the book sounded amazing and I do believe the book would be if it was plotted out with a timeline and stuck to it.

Risky Play (Book 1 in Red Card Series) by Author Rachel Van Dyken

4 stars

I absolutely enjoyed this book and a great start to Author Rachel Van Dyken's new series Red Card.  We venture into the sports field with this one.  I did not know alot about soccer but think I do now.

Mackenzie thought she had it all; great job, supportive family and a loving fiance until she is left at the alter on her wedding day.  She can not seem to understand how he could do such a thing to her.  But after trying to get on with her life, she knows she just needs to get away for a few days to find herself again.

Slade is that guy, the star athlete that has becomes famous in his sport, supportive family and any chick he wants.  But once in awhile you just want to be you.  Not all of the labels that are placed on you.  So a much needed vacation is exactly what Slade needs.

A chance encounter between Mackenzie and Slade will turn their worlds upside down if only for the weekend.  When faced with the chance of death, you take the chance.  You face death head on.  Both Mackenzie and Slade will be forced to face demons once they return to their lives but life has a way of coming full circle.

The banner between Slade and Mackenzie had me laughing out loud at how easily their relationship was.  They were meant for each other.  But can they both put the past behind them and move forward together?

Tossed Into Love (Book 3 in the Fluke My Life Series) by Author Aurora Rose Reynolds

4 stars

This is book 3 in the Fluke My Life series by Author Aurora Rose Reynolds.

Libby and Antonio.   Libby is that sweet girl next door who would do anything to help you out and shows that she does just that when needed.  She steps up when there are no benefits for her except for her big heart.  Libby has a strong work ethic.  She has a great job and started a side business but there is just something missing.  She realizes what it is and life has a way of tossing a new beginning right into your hands when you less expect it.

Antonio.  What can I say about him but he was a jerk from page 1.  He has his own issues to work out but taking them out on sweet Libby made me want to jack him up.  Antonio soon realizes that he must make some changes in his life if he wants to end up with the girl and live the dream.

Super sweet read and love all of ARR books.   I am looking forward to more from her.

Aligned (Volumes 1-4) by Author Ella Miles

4 stars

Let me start by saying that I was unsure what I had stumbled upon; Volume 1 was free on amazon so I figured why not, it sounded intriguing.  Well after consuming Volume 1 in one sitting, I had to go ahead and buy the rest of the volumes in this pretty little packaged deal for a great price.  Needless to say, I devoured Volumes 2, 3 and 4 all night and early into the morning.  I think I had maybe 2 hours of sleep before it was time to get the kids ready for school.

I would recommend this book to my friends and readers.  It seemed to have it all.  Suspense, drama, love and heartbreak.  I liked the characters.  I liked the way Author Ella Miles was able to bring them all together.  The banner between Alexa and Landon keep me on my toes to see what they would say to each other next.  Then throw some past into the mix and life for Alexa and Landon gets very tricky.  I continued to turn pages, I had to see what they would do next and if the past would become the future for Alexa and Landon?  Leaving them both heartbroken.

Help Wanted (An on the Job Romance #1) by Author Allison B. Hanson

3 stars

This was a quick read for me.  If you are looking for a cute romance, this would be one to check out.  There are actually two romance stories in this book: but the main one is between Zane and Kenley.

Zane is a successful business man but not good in the relationship department.  But when Kenley comes into his office for a job, his world is going to be turned upside.  Kenley recently unemployed needs this job.  She knows she can do the job but Zane seems to not want to hire her from just one look.  But he gives in and hires her.

As their work relationship progress, Kenley finds ways to streamline the business but Zane is against them all at first.  He has a hardtime keeping her in the employee part of his mind.  She is what he has always dreamed of.  But can Zane put the past behind him and truly see Kenley for who she is?  Or will he continue to belittle her causing him to lose the best thing in his personal and professional life?

Wrecked by Author JB Salsbury

4 Star

Oh where to start.....I had heard lots of good things about Author JB Salsbury and her writing and after reading this, I can not wait to dive into more of her books.

Wrecked was a story of over coming your past and facing your fears.  We get to see the characters in the book evolve into their true selves.  I enjoyed the banner between Sawyer and Aden.  The chemistry that was jumping off the pages was incredible.  And watching each of them learn about love and lost was very touching.  As they learn to handle the pull between them, they must both face fears of their own before they can move on.  Sometimes live has a way of showing you the right path even when it looks like it is a dead end.

I would recommend this book to any of my reader friends.  It has it all.  Mystery.  Loss.  Learning to over come your past.  Facing your future.  And how deeply you would do anything for the ones that you love.
